The organization behind the Dutch Pacing Team (hereinafter referred to as “we”) is responsible for the collection and processing of personal data as shown in this privacy statement. What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We process your personal data in accordance with the purpose for which it was provided to us. We collect personal data to be able to join you in a pacing team and to register or allow you to enter the event for which you have registered as a pacer. By registering on our website you accept this purpose and you agree to the data processing as described below.

When you contact us through our website for any other reason, we will only keep your email address and message to respond to that message. Your name and e-mail address will not be added to a newsletter file without your permission if you have not registered as a pacer.

Who we share your data with

We only pass on your personal data to other parties, if this is necessary for the purpose for which you have provided us your data. The parties to whom we provide data are:

  • The coordinator of the Runner’s World Pacing team if you want to be deployed as a pacer for the Runner’s World PacingTeam at the relevant running event and you provided us with your personal data for that purpose.
  • The coordinator of the pacing team for a running event team if you have provided us with your personal data in order to be deployed as a pacer  for that running event.
  • The organizer of a running event when you have provided us with your personal data in order to be deployed as a pacer  at the relevant running event and we assemble the team and arrange the registration without the intervention of a third party.

How we protect your data

We have taken the following measures to protect your personal data:

  • Use of security software
  • We send your data via a secure internet connection. You can see this in the address bar “https” and the padlock in the address bar.
  • We keep our website and the systems behind it (WordPress and plugins) up to date.If you have the impression that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of abuse, please contact us via the contact form on our website

Cookies or comparable techniques

We only use technical, functional cookies and analytical cookies that do not infringe on your privacy. You can opt out of cookies by setting your internet browser so that it no longer stores cookies. On our site we have implemented reCAPTCHA v3. The implementation has the sole purpose of fighting spam and abuse on our site. In doing so, we use the visitor’s IP address and the browser user agent to help detect spam.
